“the title Phantom Life refers to the feeling I had early on in the lockdown in NYC, when it was a Saturday evening and I had the sense that I should be getting ready to go out, and then thinking to myself ‘wait, what am I doing? there's nowhere to go.’ It also describes feelings I’ve had at times living in New York City, when you get so consumed with your work that the rest of your life seems to fall by the wayside."
